Ashley Lindsey

Ashley Lindsey is a NYC-based choreographer, dancer and educator. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the direction of Susan McCoullough. Upon graduation he was invited by artistic director Carla Maxwell to join the Limon Dance Company. He later went on to dancer for various contemporary companies including Lar Lubovitch Dance Company,  Helen Simoneau Danse, and The Wes Veldink Movement. 


Other Professional achievements include the film “Bolden” as well as commercials for Target, ESPN, Skype and Dental Works. He has also appeared in music videos for Scott Matthews and Asgier.


​Most recently he assisted 3 time Tony winner Hinton Battle on choreography for his production of Danze Dreams and serves as supervising producer and faculty member for Battle's dance convention DANZE OFF.


Ashley's own choreography can be seen in the upcoming short films Drilling Holes Into the Sun and Salvage What You Can a dance on film collaboration with filmmaker Alan Brown and artist Wendy Kempler. 


In addition he has worked with model Miranda Kerr as her movement coach for a series of international commercials.  

As a concert choreographer he has created works for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Defero Dance Collective, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company (Met Too) and countless studios across the country. 

In 2012 he founded Ashley Lindsey Dance a contemporary dance company. The company has since performed through out NYC in the Reverb International Dance Festival, Capezio Ace Awards, Pushing Progress Showcase and White Wave Dance Festival. 

​Teaching credits include guest faculty member at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Steps On Broadway, Limon Dance Foundation, Joffery Ballet, Elon University, Duke University, American Dance Festival (Samuel H. Scripps Studio), Dance Device lab and workshops in Japan, Italy, Bermuda, and Mexico.
